Sophia-Antipolis, France – September 30th, 2011 – RivieraWaves announced today that it has successfully passed the Bluetooth qualification with its dual mode Bluetooth 4.0 baseband Intellectual Property (IP).

RivieraWaves has previously achieved two world’s first announcements for the qualification of its single mode Bluetooth low energy baseband IP and then, for its Bluetooth 3.0 baseband IP, both being now silicon proven by several customers. The new Bluetooth 4.0 baseband IP, compatible with the Bluetooth low energy and the classic BR/EDR Bluetooth specifications is currently being integrated by several customers.

The RivieraWaves Bluetooth IP portfolio also includes a complete Bluetooth 4.0 modem and radio transceiver IP. This IP portfolio is complemented by a set of Wi-Fi IP components, compliant with 802.11abg, 802.11n and WiFi Direct.
