Parthus founder named Irish Technology Entrepreneur of the year

San Jose, Calif./Dublin, Ireland - September 14, 2000 - Parthus
Technologies plc (Nasdaq: PRTH, LSE: PRH) (Parthus), a leading developer
of semiconductor intellectual property (IP) for the Mobile-Internet
market, today announces that Mr Brian Long, Chief Executive Officer and
co-founder of Parthus, has been named Ernst & Young Technology Irish
Entrepreneur of the Year. In seven years, Parthus which designs and
licences software for mobile Internet technology, has become one of
Ireland's most successful technology companies with a market
capitalisation of $2.4 billion following its IPO in May.

Mr Long paid tribute to his 400-strong team "The success of our company

Brian Long has built Parthus up to be one of the world's largest
developers of silicon chip technology for next generation mobile phone
products. He has more than 18 years experience in developing Intellectual
Property solutions for the semiconductor industry with various
organizations including AT&T and Digital Equipment Corporation. Brian
is on the board of the National Microelectronics Research Centre and holds
a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering.
