The FPGA Core adapter is designed to answer the needs for FPGA prototyping.
The board includes a large FPGA component, numerous I/O pins to top and
bottom connectors and an on-board PLL for external frequency generation.
The FPGA board is designed to be used in multiple operation modes:
- One FPGA adapter in a stand-alone mode for simple FPGA prototyping
projects
- Several stacked FPGA adapters for complex and large FPGA prototyping
projects
- One FPGA adapter stacked on the CBB for peripheral and integration
testing
- Several FPGA adapters stacked on a CBB
The power supply is an expansion card to the FPGA adapter that gets it
power from external 5V power supply. It provides the FPGA adapter with all
voltage levels on stand-alone operation.
