Franz Dugand is in charge of expanding the CEVA Wireless IoT product lines (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, NB-IoT) into various market segments such as mobile, consumer electronics, gateway, healthcare, automotive, industrial and other IoT applications.
Franz has more than two decades of experience in the semiconductor IP area, specifically in the wireless IoT markets working on Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB and NB-IoT. Before joining CEVA, he co-founded RivieraWaves in 2010 and lead the sales and marketing activities. In 4 years, he grew the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi IP business from zero to more than $4M annually, until the company has been acquired by CEVA. Before RivieraWaves, Franz has been the Product Marketing Manager at Wipro-NewLogic during 4 years, in charge of the Bluetooth IP portfolio. From 1999 to 2005, Franz held several positions as project leader, customer support manager, team leader and hardware design engineer at VLSI Technology, Philips Semiconductor, NewLogic and PLDA, working on various projects in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and PCIexpress.
Franz has an engineering degree from Telecom ParisTech, Paris, with specialization in Electronics of Telecom Systems. He also holds a Master degree in Applied Physics from Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble.
