RivieraWaves Wi-Fi Platforms
The RivieraWaves Wi-Fi IP family offers a comprehensive suite of platforms for embedding Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac into SoCs/ASSPs. Optimised implementations are available targeting a broad range of connected devices, including smartphones, wearables, consumer electronics, smart home, industrial and automotive applications.
CEVA, with the RivieraWaves Wireless Connectivity IP platform, is the only IP provider offering a complete suite of Wi-Fi IPs plus a portfolio of RivieraWaves Bluetooth Smart and Smart Ready IP platforms.
Each of the RivieraWaves Wi-Fi platform incorporates the Upper MAC (UMAC), Lower MAC (LMAC) and PHY modem functions. For ease of deployment, the UMAC and LMAC software stacks are processor and operating system agnostic. The modem can be provided either as a hardwired function for minimal die area and extremely low power consumption or as a software defined modem (SDM) for extra flexibility as desired in some multi-protocol connected devices. In addition, CEVA has multiple RF partners to help address deployment on various foundries and processes nodes; RF partners include Catena, Maxscend and others.

Leveraging RivieraWaves Surf, customers can design a complete 802.11ac 1x1 solution that consumes less power than any Wi-Fi 802.11n solution from competition.
highest performance 802.11ac up to 4x4, addressing the most advanced use cases applicable to access points, media gateways and Wi-Fi offload in small cells. Leveraging the processing power of the CEVA-XC DSP, it is scalable to address up to several hundreds of users and offers flexible co-existence with LTE/LTE-A in infrastructure applications.
